PROPOSED ORDINANCE 8-24-01 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 10, CHAPTER 32, SECTION 030 OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED ‘MULTI-WAY STOP INSTERSECTIONS – ENUMERATED’
It is Ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:
Section 1. Title 10, Chapter 32, Section 030 is hereby amended by adding the following:
Laurel Hill Ave. and Maplewood Ave., 4 way stop
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

PROPOSED ORDINANCE 8-24-03 IN AMENDMENT OF IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 2, CHAPTER 52 OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED ‘CONSERVATION COMMISSION’
It is Ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:
Section 1. Title 2, Chapter 52, Section 030 is hereby amended by deleting the following:

2.52.030 Composition—Appointment—Term—Internal organization.
The commission shall consist of seven members and two alternate members appointed by the mayor with the advice and consent of the city council. The members of such commission shall be appointed for three-year terms, except the initial appointments of the members shall be as follows: two members for one year, two members for two years, three members for three years. At the first meeting of the commission, the members shall elect a chairperson, vice-chairperson, and shall organize such subcommittees as they shall deem necessary for the performance of their duties. In the event of a vacancy, interim appointments may be made by the appointing authority to complete the unexpired term of such position. Duly incorporated and existing wildlife, conservation, sportsmen's, horticultural, or like organizations may present to the appointing authority a list of qualified citizens from which lists the appointing authority must select at least three members of the commission and from which lists the appointing authority may select the remainder.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

PROPOSED ORDINANCE 8-24-06 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 17, “ZONING”, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, TO ADD CHAPTER 17.124 ENTITLED “FENCES AND WALLS”
It is Ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:
Section 1. Title 17, “ZONING”, of the Code of the City of Cranston is hereby amended to ADD Chapter 124 as follows:
Chapter 17.124 – FENCES AND WALLS
17.124.010 – Fences and Walls.
All fences and non-retaining walls bordering between adjoining residential properties not exceeding a height of six (6) feet may be placed in any yard area in a “Residential” zoned district, as defined in Chapter 17.08.010. Such structures with heights greater than six (6) feet are prohibited. Authority to issue any fine or other applicable legal remedy shall be in the jurisdiction of the City of Cranston’s Building Inspection Department.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.
