Pursuant to the Rhode Island General Laws § 45-24-53
Public Notice is hereby given of a Public Hearing for the consideration of:
Ordinance 2024-10: An Ordinance amending Chapter 340 of the Town of Johnston Code of Ordinances. Said ordinance proposes amendments to Section- 340-4, b, sub-section b, 340-8, Table of Use Regulations, 340-76.1 and adds Section 340-25.2 entitled “Pet and animal services”. Said ordinance clarifies the requirements for an animal shelter, supply boarding, daycare, grooming services, veterinary hospital and breeding kennels
THE PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON:
August 13th, 2024 AT 7:00 PM
AT THE JOHNSTON MUNICIPAL COURT BUILDING
1600 ATWOOD AVENUE, JOHNSTON, RI 02919
The proposed Ordinance may be altered or amended prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any alteration or amendment must be presented for comment in the course of the hearing. Said proposed Ordinance is available at the office of the Town Clerk for examination.
The meeting place is accessible to the handicapped in conformance with R.I.G.L. 42-46-2. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Office of the Town Clerk at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting date.
