Joseph F. McNulty, 82, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Jane (Fitzpatrick) McNulty. Born November 17, 1941, in Providence, he was a son of the late Andrew J. and Nora A. (Walsh) McNulty.
Mr. McNulty was an outstanding history teacher who taught for more than 30 years at East Providence High School and for eight years at St. Mary Academy - Bay View in Riverside.
He was the devoted father to Ellen A. McNulty-Brown (Jason) of Warwick, RI and Joseph T. McNulty (Elizabeth) of Lincoln, RI; and the adoring “Bubba” to his two granddaughters Gwenyth and Nora McNulty. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Mary A. McNulty of Chapel Hill, NC and Joan I. McNulty of East Greenwich, RI. He was preceded in death by his brothers Andrew J. McNulty, John B. McNulty and James P. McNulty.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 5, 2024, at 10:00AM at St. Paul Church, 30 Warwick Avenue, Cranston, RI 02905. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours: Sunday, August 4th from 4PM – 7PM at Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick.
