Calvin Adolf Linden, Sr., 93, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was the loving husband of Muriel Alice (Rounds) Linden for seventy-two years.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Fritz and Elsa (Peterson) Linden.

Calvin proudly served in the United States Navy Reserve for twenty years. He worked as a Carpenter for J&R Contracting and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. A true “jack of all trades”, Calvin enjoyed woodworking and fixing things, especially for his children. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Warwick and a dedicated volunteer for the Pilgrim Lutheran Food Pantry. In his free time, he enjoyed playing the harmonica and singing.

Alongside his wife Muriel, he is survived by his beloved children, Jean Lee (John) of Oak Hill, VA, Thomas Linden (Patricia) of West Greenwich, Steven Linden (Lynne) of Warwick, Frederick Linden (Laurie) of Warwick, Calvin Linden, Jr. (Teri) of Ashland, NH, James Linden (Robin) of Coventry, Glen Linden of West Greenwich, and Peter Linden of East Greenwich, twenty-one grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11:00AM at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1817 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889. Visitation will be held in church prior to the service from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the: Food Pantry of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1817 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889.
