Winsor Hill holds annual Healthy Kids Day

In a tradition that's gone on for more than 10 years, Healthy Kids Day took place this week at Winsor Hill Elementary School. Seven different stations were set up throughout the school in the morning yesterday, housing a variety of health and wellness activities. Two additional stations were set up later on in the afternoon, along with a blood drive being held outdoors on the premises as well. According to Health and Physical Education teacher Sue Parillo, the students rotated through the stations all day long, until they had a chance to visit each area once through the day.

"There are health-related sessions all day long which either reinforce some of the topics already in our curriculum, or expose them to some topics that they may not have heard about before," said Parillo, who started the first Healthy Kids day when her daughter, now a senior in high school, was in kindergarten.
