Patriotic tree

This patriotic Christmas tree was the work of Gary Salzillo, who owns and operates Northeast Auto Body at 775 Hartford Avenue and can be seen by motorists taking the Killingly Street exit off Route 6 in Johnston. Salzillo, who doubles as president of the Johnston Youth Football League, would not say whether or not it’s designed with the New England Patriots in mind. However, he did offer, “Those are the Pats’ colors while wishing all Johnstonians a Prosperous New Year!” When asked if he’s a Patriots fan, Salzillo smiled and simply said, “I’m a Johnston Panther, through and true!” (Sun Rise photo by Pete Fontaine)
