On Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the invitation of Balfour-Cole Post 64 of the American Legion and with cooperation from the Rhode Island Department of Motor Vehicles, more than 115 Rhode Island veterans were able to apply for the Veteran designation on their R.I. driver's licenses. The event drew veterans from throughout Rhode Island. Pictured here, Debbie Rich, public information officer at the DMV, assists Post 64 member William Robinson in getting the Veteran designation on his driver's license. Membership at Post 64 includes residents of Smithfield, Johnston, North Providence and Cranston.
