The Women’s Wilderness Weekend, a non-profit organization offering women 18 years and older an opportunity to join together and connect with themselves, each other, and nature, will host a weekend retreat from October 21-23 at the URI W. Alton Jones campus, 401 Victory Highway, West Greenwich.

Situated on 2,300 acres of forest, lakes, and farmlands, the University of Rhode Island’s W. Alton Jones Campus is the ideal spot for retreat, recreation, and renewal.

The event begins Friday, October 21st at 6 p.m. with a light dinner and activities and ends Sunday at 1 p.m. The purpose of the retreat is to provide an opportunity for women’s self-development through classes, recreation, and fellowship. The weekend offers a safe, non-competitive, nurturing environment and a variety of courses and activities, including hiking, kayaking, Zumba, Tai Chi and crafts. Meals are included in the registration and are served buffet style in the main lodge. Vegetarian options are provided, upon request. Massage, reiki and intuitive readings are available for an additional fee.
