Each year, the National Honor Society runs its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive. Each student that is a member of this organization goes around the school trying to collect any money that people are willing to give for a good cause. National Honor Society collects all of the money and then at the end of the week they use the money collected to buy as many turkeys as possible.
The turkeys go to families that are in need to ensure that they get to enjoy an amazing Thanksgiving dinner, like many other families in their neighborhood. National Honor Society works very hard this week to collect as much money as possible to really give back to the community.
National Honor Society kicked off their Turkey Drive with a dress down day for the teachers to donate money as well.
Kids now go around all of this week to homerooms to get the kids involved in the giving season.
