This reader, and in all probability many other readers, only perceive emotional self-directed protest. You spout theory in the manner of sports radio babble. Hardly fair commentary given the spirit of the farewell. As a sage playwright may have commented your PomeroyGate theory, "the fault, dear MMcGivernon, is not in our stars, but in ourselves."
