I used to be in charge of the budget for the entire east coast for an international company. I worked on that budget monthly and as time came closer to the deadline I was in direct contact with everyone that was involved to ensure that any issues were handled prior to the deadline. There would never be an instance where the budget would be held for 6 months and then revisited. We would continue to hammer out the details line by line until we agreed upon it. In the real world, things like this don't and can't happen. Only in politics do men play god with other peoples money. Get back to work and fix the problem. Your massive ego is what is getting in the way.
