Madelyn (Ciliberto) Surrette, age 96, of Warwick, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Surrette.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ignazio and Lucretia (Mattase) Ciliberto. Madelyn worked as a Pharmacy Technician with Bayshore Pharmacy for many years, prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her children, John E. Surrette and his wife Soledade, and Gail A. Rigney and her husband John, both of Warwick; sister, Antoinette Mattoni; grandchildren, William Rigney, John Surrette, and Steven Surrette; and two great-grandchildren, Sira and Eva. She was the sister of the late Theresa Buttero, Grace Pagnozzi, Mary Borrelli, and Domenic, Simone and John Ciliberto. She was the grandmother of the late John Rigney III.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11:00am in St. Rita’s Church, 722 Oakland Beach Ave, Warwick with a burial to follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
