Nancy C. (Dyer) Peterson, 96, a cherished resident of West Shore Health Center in Warwick and former resident of Ramblewood Estates, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond W. Peterson.  Nancy was born in Providence, RI to the late Mary C. Cameron Dyer.

A devout Christian, Nancy was a dedicated member of Warwick Central Baptist Church, where she found a close-knit community. Nancy was also an esteemed member of The Order of the Amaranth, where she served as Past Grand Royal Matron, demonstrating her leadership and dedication to the organization. Professionally, Nancy was a respected bank manager for the former People's Bank, where she worked for many years.

Nancy was the mother of the late Nancy Lee Laprade, Carol J. Carlson of Warwick, RI, the late Sharon E. Peterson and Gary R. Peterson of East Lansing, MI. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by six siblings. Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. Her commitment to her family was a testament to her strength and love.

Her daughter, Carol, extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at West Shore Health Center for the compassionate care they provided for Nancy.

Calling hours took place at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 E. Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Tuesday, July 23 from 9-10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial followed at the RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
