Heart failure and mindfulness are the topics of this presentation. What is heart failure and what is mindfulness? This presentation will lead into a study that Miriam Hospital has designed to explore whether mindfulness training can help participants improve their ability to self-care for their heart failure.

Drop off your unwanted, unused or expired prescriptions/medications between 10:00 a.m. and noon and we will properly dispose of them for you! Accepted medications include: prescription meds, prescription ointments & liquids, over-the-counter meds, vitamins & pet medications.
What to expect? Six stations that include: fall prevention, adaptive equipment, home safety ideas, mental health, energy conservation techniques, and sleep hygiene & routines. Occupational therapy students and faculty will guide you through these statins that will provide screenings, education, and resources. Be sure to stop by this very important, fun and FREE wellness event. Bring a friend or two!!
A total body workout with a focus on strengthening overall balance, posture, muscle tone, and mobility. You will learn how to move the body in a healthy way so as to reduce pain and improve body awareness. Classes are with or without the use of a chair.
Do you wonder about the medications you are taking? What effect they have? What happens when you don’t take your medications? Best time to take them? Come…bring your medications and discuss them with Mary, our CVS pharmacist. This is a free community service. For more information call Mary at 401-780-6210.
