Linda Lee (LaFond) Gardiner, 80, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. She was the loving wife of Edwin Francis Gardiner, III. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Lea E. (Bibeault) LaFond.

Linda was a devoted medical care worker for both Scalabrini Villa and Kent Hospital where she served as a Phlebotomist, Medical Technician and C.N.A. for several years. She was a devout Catholic and dedicated to caring for her family. Linda especially enjoyed traveling with her husband and family to Russia, Finland, Hawaii, Bermuda, Alaska, and throughout the American West.

Alongside her husband, she is survived by her beloved children, Robin L. Cooney (John) of East Greenwich, Edwin F. Gardiner, IV of Cranston, Michelle A. Accetturo-Merolla (Steven) of Warwick, and Lisa J. Sjoberg (Kyle) of Richmond, her brother, John LaFond of West Warwick, eight grandchildren, and her special lifelong friends, Jean Bouchard, Ruby Barlow, Susan Briggs, Donna Fitzgerald, and Carolyn Dawray.

She was the sister of the late Jacqueline Coburn.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 10:00AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Interment will follow at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in North Kingstown.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
