The Warwick North and Continental American Little League All-Star teams are in the thick of their District 3 tournaments. Here is a look at how some of the teams have fared so far:

The WCA and North 10’s are slated to play one another on Thursday after having successful starts in their bracket. WCA most recently beat Chariho 11-1 and was led bed Coby Banach with three RBI, while Landon Engstrom drove in two more runs. Banach got the win on the mound, tossing 4 2/3 innings and allowing just one hit and striking out seven batters.

The winner of the Thursday’s game will earn a spot in the district championship on Sunday, while the loser will be dropped to the losers bracket final on Friday.

The WCA 12’s got a shutout win over East Greenwich and were led by pitcher Colby Fales, who finished the day with a perfect game and struck out 16 batters. Miller McGuinness and Tyler Dale each drove in runs in the victory.

The WCA 12’s faced Coventry on Wednesday with a trip to the district finals on the line, which will also take place on Sunday. North fell to the Oakers to enter the losers bracket and took on East Greenwich on Wednesday, hoping to remain in the hunt.

The Warwick North/West Warwick 11’s went 1-2 in their tournament.
