Robert A. Kane 85, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2023, at RI Hospital after an unfortunate accident, with his loving family by his side. He was the cherished husband of Frances M. (Monroe) Kane, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Born in Blue Hill, Maine, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Leila (Gott) Kane.

Bob had worked as an Engineering Supervisor for WJAR Broadcasting for 43 years prior to his retirement. He was a Past Grand Master of The International Order of Odd Fellows, Past Patron of  Adah, Martha Washington, and Sincerity chapters, and Past Grand Patron of Rhode Island Order of the Eastern Star (1987-1988), and 50 year member of Nathaniel Greene Masonic Lodge.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving daughter, Donna (Kane) Mulcahy and her husband Michael. He will be remembered by his grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Daniel O’Brien, Kelly and Stephen Fitch, and Michael Mulcahy for his endless love and enthusiastic involvement in every milestone of their lives. He was the brother of Frances A. Kane, and the late Kenneth, and Paul Kane.

He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, oil painting, traveling, and making applesauce.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday February 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the Woodbury Union Church, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick. Visitation will be held Friday February 10, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Carpenter Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
