The 8-U Edgewood Eagles football team beat the New Haven Seahawks 9-6 to win the New England championship. Darius Jackson Jr. had three interceptions and rushed for 21 touchdowns to go along with 1516 yards this season. Quarterback David Meloni III had 11 passing touchdowns while Darius Lopes had 18 rushing touchdowns for the year. Members of the team included: Justin Fallon, David Melani, Matthew Holman, Kaleb Maldonado, Kenan Kilgore, Kingston Aurelio, King Lopes, Micah Appiah, Steven Pinto Jr., Quincy Byron, Jerzon Benitez-Batista, Calvin James-Harrison, Joseph Marfeo, Jackson Burk, Darius Jackson, Domenico Gaulin, Zion Zang, Alex John, Michael Medeiros, Desmond Figueroa, Jouahny Dejesus and Rufus King.
