WANTED: According to Cranston Police, “the subject depicted in (these) photographs was responsible for a nighttime burglary into a business in the 1800 block of Broad Street.” Cranston Police have asked for the public’s help identifying the suspect. According to Cranston Police, “the subject appears to be a thin white female, late teens to early 20’s in age wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with the word ‘Brooklyn’ printed across the back and front, blue colored spandex type shorts and black heeled boots.” If you can identify the suspect, or know their location, contact Cranston Police Detective Bob Lindsay

SEX OFFENDER ADDRESS CHANGE

At 1:27 a.m., June 18, Cranston Police Officers arrested Christopher Donnelly, 40, of 30 Howard Ave., Cranston, for two counts of Notification of Law Enforcement Agencies of Sexual Offender Change in Address as a result of an Affidavit Warrant pick up at Providence Police. Donnelly was held for morning court, according to police.

SHOPLIFTING & CONSPIRACY

At 12:38 p.m., June 17, Cranston Police Officers arrested Jocelyn Barrows, 26, of 34 Diamond Hill Road, Burrillville, for two counts of felony Shoplifting and two counts of Conspiracy, as well as a misdemeanor Shoplifting charge. Warwick Police turned over custody of Barrows following her arrest on an active warrant. According to Cranston Police, Barrows was awaiting arraignment.

DOMESTIC SIMPLE ASSAULT

At 1:09 a.m., June 16, Cranston Police Officers arrested Anelyn Jimenizm, 37, of 41 Hillwood St., Cranston, for Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct as a result of a disturbance at the aforementioned location. According to Cranston Police, Jimenizm was awaiting arraignment.

DUI

At 3:44 a.m., June 16, Cranston Police Officers arrested John Curran, 31, of 334 Knights St, Apt. 1113, Warwick, for Driving Under the Influence (BAC unknown), and cited for refusing a chemical breath test. According to Cranston Police, the arrest was the result of a suspicious auto report on Pontiac Avenue. Curran was awaiting arraignment, according to Cranston Police.

DOMESTIC SIMPLE ASSAULT

At 11:07 p.m., June 13, Cranston Police Officers arrested James Cote, 35, of 14 Lane One, Warwick, for Domestic Simple Assault, Domestic Disorderly Conduct and a 3rd District Court Bench Warrant as a result of a domestic disturbance at 52 Dennis Ave., Apt. 3. Cote was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and transported to Men’s Intake at the ACI, according to Cranston Police.

DOMESTIC SIMPLE ASSAULT

At 7:31 p.m., June 13, Cranston Police Officers arrested Mercedes Paca-Ramos, 18, of 126 Bracken St., Cranston, for Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct as a result of a disturbance at the aforementioned location. Paca-Ramos was arraigned and released by a Justice of the Peace, according to Cranston Police.

OBSTRUCTING OFFICER

At 8:55 p.m., June 13, Cranston Police Officers arrested Jean-Paul Liranzo, 29, of 16 Randall St., Cranston for Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty and Disorderly Conduct as a result of a suspicious person call on Randall Street. Liranzo was arraigned and released by a Justice of the Peace, according to Cranston Police.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT ON PERSON OVER 60

Around 1 p.m., June 13, Cranston Police Officers arrested Jeremy Armada, 28, of 70 Crocus Drive, Cranston, for Domestic Assault on a Person over 60/Bodily Injury. The arrest was the result of a call for service at the aforementioned address. Armada was awaiting arraignment, according to Cranston Police.

DUI

Around 1 p.m., June 13, Cranston Police Officers arrested Luis Torres Rodriguez, 39, of 39 Salmon St., No. 104, Providence, for DUI (BAC Unknown), and Possession of Schedule I-V Controlled Substance (less than 10 grams), Resisting Legal or Illegal Arrest, and Weapons other than Firearms Prohibited. The arrest was the result of a call for service at the intersection of Cranston Street and Niantic Avenue.

DOMESTIC SIMPLE ASSAULT

Around 12:40 a.m., June 13, Cranston Police Officers arrested Arthur Hagopian, 30, of 64 Kimberly North Lane, Cranston, for Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct as a result of an on-going domestic disturbance investigation. Hagopian was held for morning court.

WARRANT ARREST

At 4:40 p.m., June 11, Cranston Police Officers arrested Joseph Young, 37, of 199 Sand Turn Road, West Kingston, for a Superior Court Bench Warrant. His arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop at 1052 Park Ave. Young was transported to the ACI.

DOMESTIC SIMPLE ASSAULT

Around 11 a.m., June 11, Cranston Police Officers arrested Marquis Brewster, 40, of 32 Oak St., Cranston, for Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a call for service at the aforementioned address. Brewster was transported to 3rd District Court for arraignment.

DUTY TO STOP

Around 12:24 p.m., June 11, Cranston Police Detectives arrested George Andrews, 53, of 405 Beach Ave. Warwick, for Duty to Stop-Damage to Attended Vehicle. “The arrest was the result of ACI Intake turning him over to 3rd District Court for arraignment,” according to Cranston Police. Andrews was arraigned at 3rd District Court.

SHOPLIFTING & CONSPIRACY

Around 12:24 P.M., June 11, Cranston Police Detectives arrested Eugene Robinson, 21, of 54 Sackett St., Providence, for two counts of Shoplifting and Conspiracy. “The arrest was the result of ACI Intake turning him over to 3rd District Court for a previously issued arrest and affidavit warrant out of this department,” according to Cranston Police. Robinson was arraigned at 3rd District Court.

BENCH WARRANT

Around 6:30 p.m., May 6, Warwick Police were dispatched to the Wyatt Detention Facility at 950 High St., Central Falls, to pick up an inmate who had an active bench warrant out of the Warwick Police Department. Police took custody of Brandon C. Andreason, 35, of 121 Burbank St., Cranston. He was held on an active Third District Court bench warrant.

DUI

At 2:17 a.m., May 11, Warwick Police Officer Robert S. Macera was on a stationary traffic post in Airport Plaza, facing Airport Road when he spotted a Black 2020 GMC Terrain with no front license plate “traveling at a high rate of speed.” He followed the vehicle, estimated its speed around 46 miles per hour and initiated a traffic stop.

Police identified the driver as Steven Medeiros Jr., 24, of 350 Adelaide Ave., Providence.

“I immediately noted Medeiros to have red bloodshot watery eyes and his speech was thick tongued and he spoke in a slow drawn out manner,” Macera wrote. “I also detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath.”

The driver allegedly told police he had been at a Cranston bar called “The Joint.” He also allegedly told police that he had “smoked a few hours ago.”

Police asked the driver to consent to a series of standardized field sobriety tests. He refused. Police called another unit to the scene. They placed Medeiros under arrest.

Police transported Medeiros to the Warwick Police Headquarters, where he refused to take a chemical breath test.

Medeiros was charged with DUI of Liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and he was cited with Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test (first offense), Speeding (11+ mph in Excess of the Posted Speed Limit), and Display of Registration Plates.

DUTY TO STOP

Around 5 p.m., May 2, Johnston Police responded to 1450 Hartford Ave., in reference to a hit and run crash resulting in damage to an attended vehicle. The victim told police that he was struck in the rear by a grey Dodge truck, causing damage to the rear bumper of his vehicle. The driver of the truck allegedly exited his vehicle and told him there was no damage. The alleged victim took a photo of this driver’s plate.

Police identified the driver who allegedly hit the other car as Justin McFadden, 40, of 76 High View St., Cranston.

“He stated that he was driving the vehicle, however he was not involved in (an) accident,” Johnston Police Sgt. Luca A. Lancellotti Jr. wrote in the incident report. “I advised Justin that if (he) was lying to me that he would be charged with Obstruction, he then ended the phone call.”

McFadden responded to police headquarters to speak to Lancellotti about the incident.

“I again asked him if he was involved in an accident and again he denied it,” Lancellotti wrote. “I asked him if he would write a witness statement indicating that he wasn’t involved, and he refused. I advised him again that if he was lying to me he would be charged with obstruction and he still denied being involved in the accident. He then abruptly left headquarters.”

The other driver and a second witness responded to police headquarters to view a photo array. According to police, they both picked the suspect’s photo.

Lancellotti drafted an affidavit and arrest warrant for McFadden, charging him with a pair of misdemeanors, Duty to Stop in Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle and Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty.

On May 10, McFadden turned himself in on the active warrants. According to police, he was processed and later transported to Third District Court.

He was arraigned as a Superior Court bail violator and released on $1,000 personal recognizance, according to police.

According to a supplementary report by Johnston Police Detective Derek Parascandolo, McFadden was presented as a bail violator later in the day at Superior Court.
