38th ANNUAL “3-Day” CRANSTON GREEK FESTIVAL – SEPTEMBER 6th, 7th and 8th

Location: Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation on the parish grounds
175 Oaklawn Avenue, Route 5, Cranston, RI.

The Cranston Greek Festival, marks the “Official End of Summer in Rhode Island™”. The Festival is held under the “Big Tents”, rain or shine.
Admission is FREE.

2024 GREEK FESTIVAL TIMES:
Friday, September 6 5 PM – 10 PM
Saturday, September 7 12 Noon – 10 PM
Sunday, September 8 12 Noon – 8 PM

Greek Food:
Guests sample a wide variety of Greek food including roast lamb, Greek-style chicken, souvlaki (skewered pork or chicken), pastitsio (delectable “Greek Lasagna”), spanakopita (“spinach pie”) tiropita (“cheese pie”).

Many of our guests tell us we serve Rhode Island’s Best GYROS. Come and judge for yourself!

Our pastry booth offers hand-made Greek pastries prepared by teams of our own parishioners, including our famous Baklava, Galaktoboureko and Rice Pudding.

The pastry selection also includes karidopita (Greek Walnut Cake), kourabiedes (Wedding Cookies), koulourakia (Greek Butter Cookies), and melomakarona (Honey Cookies).

And don’t forget to try our Loukoumades!!!
Loukoumádes (λουκουμάδες) is a staple of Greek eating, especially in the south of Greece, and is a popular street food served with a combination of honey, cinnamon, and walnuts.

Entertainment & Culture:
Greek Dancing Performances by Odyssey Dance Troupe
Friday Night – 7 PM
Saturday & Sunday Nights - 4 PM and 7 PM

These performances are wildly popular, and feature dances from mainland Greece and the Greek Islands.

Live Greek music will be performed throughout the event.
Spontaneous, impromptu Greek Dancing breaks out constantly during the entire 3-Day, Cranston Greek Festival.
Everyone is invited to join in these dances.

Saturday - 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM and 8 PM

Sunday - 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM

Pets:
For the safety of our guests, pets are not permitted at the Cranston Greek Festival. Service animals are allowed.

FREE Parking:
Free parking is available on the neighborhood streets.
Additional parking is available at Cranston West High School.
Free Parking shuttle buses run continuously, from Cranston West High School VIA CURTIS STREET. Some handicapped parking is available on the church grounds.
The parking lot shuttle buses run all three days of the Festival, until 30 minutes AFTER CLOSING, each day.
