FAST FALL: Ex-Ward 6 Cranston City Councilman Matthew Reilly was arrested on drug charges on May 15, 2023, after police found him asleep behind the wheel. Last week, the AG’s Office announced the resigned councilor has been indicted on multiple child molestation counts. Cranston police release body-cam from officer-involved shooting
UPDATED The Cranston police officer ran to the suspects’ car. She opened the door and ordered a man and a woman out of the vehicle. Instead, they sped away, allegedly running over the officer's foot, and the officer fired at the vehicle. Cranston Police have released the name of the officer involved in a shooting last Sunday evening, as well as her body-worn camera footage from the incident. more
