Spiderman and Ariel caught the attention of motorists Sunday afternoon with their lemonade stand in front of Gel’s Kitchen at the intersection of West Shore Road and Buttonwoods Avenue. The couple had a goal of raising $100 to buy backpacks and school supplies to be distributed by Project Hand Up. The backpacks will be given to kids who need them. Ariel (Ashley Medeiros) and Spiderman, (Frank Triolo) have set up their stand on other occasions to benefit various causes. At a dollar a cup plus numerous donations they surpassed their goal. Now they are looking forward to shopping for the backpacks and seeing they get delivered to kids who need them. Posing with the couple are Austin and Avianna Smith. (Warwick Beacon photo)
