Warwick PAL Youth Lacrosse
enjoys historic season
The Police Athletic League (PAL) Lacrosse teams have made history in Warwick by clinching the State Championship title three times in the 2024 season. In 2023, the seventh and eighth grade girls Division 2 Lacrosse team became the first in Warwick Lacrosse history to win a state championship. Amidst the growing popularity of lacrosse nationwide in 2024, including the recent inclusion of the sport in the Olympic games, the Warwick PAL Lacrosse teams made their mark by bringing home the State Championship title for three of their teams: Girls fifth and sixth grade, Boys fifth and sixth grade, and the reigning champions Girls seventh and eight grade. Head coach for the girls seventh and eight grade team Martha Doyle says “These wins are a tribute to our Commissioner Kevin McEnery, the time and dedication of our volunteer coaches, and of course the tenacity of our student athletes.” Doyle has been part of the Warwick Pal program for eight years noting how far both the program and sport has come.
