DISORDERLY CONDUCT

At 6:02 p.m. on Sept. 4, Cranston Police arrested Elias Diaz, 24, of 28 Cedar St., Cranston, on charges of Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a disturbance at the aforementioned address. Diaz was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace.


DUI

At 4:58 p.m. on Sept. 3, Cranston Police arrested Encarnacion Tix Colaj, 26, of 58 Deane St., Apt. 1, New Bedford, Massachusetts, on charges of DUI – BAC Unknown (first offense) as the result of an accident investigation on Plainfield Pike. Colaj was arraigned and released.

Around 10:55 p.m., Aug. 11, Warwick Police Officer Evan P. Brown responded to Navigant Credit Union, 2100 Warwick Ave., for the report of a motor vehicle crash. Several other officers were already on the scene.

One of the vehicles involved in the crash, a 2017 Toyota RAV4, had heavy front-end damage. Brown spoke to the driver, later identified as Jamie L. Bedford, 41, of 111 Harper Ave., Cranston.

Bedford was standing on the passenger’s side of her vehicle with the door open, talking on her cell phone and crying, according to the arrest report.

She told police she was not injured.

The driver of the other vehicle told police “she believed that Bedford was possibly intoxicated,” Brown wrote in the report.

“While speaking with Bedford, I noticed that her speech was slurred and thick-tongued,” Brown wrote. “I observed her eyes to be moderately bloodshot and glossy. I detected the moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Bedford’s breath.”

Brown asked Bedford if she had been drinking. She said she had not.

Bedford consented to a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.

Following the tests, Bedford was arrested and charged with DUI of Liquor (BAC unknown) and issued citations for Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test (first offense) and Failure to yield Entering from Private Drive or Road. She was later released from Warwick Police Headquarters to a sober adult.


WARRANT

At 11:33 a.m. on Sept. 4, Cranston Police arrested Jahlena Giron, 33, of 224 Sterling Ave., Providence, on a Cranston Police Arrest Warrant Obtaining Money Under False Personation & Passing Counterfeit Bills/Notes as a result of a warrant pick-up by the New Shoreham Police Department. Giron was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace.


STOLEN VEHICLE

At 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 4, Cranston Police arrested Eugene B. Vasquez IV, 19, of 231 Irving Road, Warwick, on charges of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle/Parts (one count). The arrest was the result of an accident investigation in the area of Broad Street and Norwood Avenue. Vasquez awaited arraignment.


SHOPLIFTING

At 2:42 p.m. on Sept. 3, Cranston Police arrested Niko Everson, 27, of 20 Park St., Apt. 160, Johnston, on charges of Shoplifting and Reckless Eluding (First offense) as the result of an attempted pick up based on a shoplifting report at 1776 Plainfield Pike. Everson was arraigned and transported to the ACI as a bail violator.


STOLEN FIREARM

At 6:45 a.m. on Sept. 2, Cranston Police arrested Domingo Polanco, 20, of 317 Heather St., Cranston, on charges of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Fugitive from Justice (two counts), and Affidavit and Arrest Warrants out of Warren, Rhode Island, Wellesley, Massachusetts, and Swansea Massachusetts. Polanco was held for bail arraignment.


DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE

At 12:40 p.m. on Sept. 2, Cranston Police arrested Christopher A Michaud, 31, of 100 Northview Ave., Cranston, on charges of Driving After Denial, Suspension, or Revocation of License as a result of a motor vehicle stop. Michaud was released to appear.


ASSAULT

At 5:01 p.m. on Sept. 1, Cranston Police arrested Randen Davis, 46, of 1018 Cranston St., Cranston, RI, on charges of Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct as the result of a disturbance call at 1018 Cranston St. Davis was arraigned by a bail commissioner and released.

At 5:26 p.m. on Sept. 1, Cranston Police arrested Enmanuel Hernandez, 38, of 21 Westmore St., Providence, on charges of Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct as the result of the subject turning himself in based on a previous incident. Hernandez was arraigned by a bail commissioner and released.

At 5:06 p.m. on Aug. 31, Cranston Police arrested Giovanni Risco, 49, of 10 Randall St., Cranston, on charges of Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Vale Avenue. Risco was arraigned by a bail commissioner and released.


DRUG POSSESSION

At 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 31, Cranston Police arrested Jeremy Jose Ramirez, 33, of 207B Cornwall St., Apt. 1, Providence, on charges of Possession of Schedule I-V (Crack Cocaine, one count) and Possession of Schedule I-V (Fentanyl, one count) as a result of surveillance at the Econolodge. Ramirez was held for arraignment.
