House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi was joined by Warwick Representatives Joe McNamara, David Bennett, and Rep. Joe Solomon on Aug. 14 to present a $15,000 a legislative grant to the Warwick Police Athletic League (PAL). The grant was sponsored by all of the members of Warwick’s House delegation. PAL was formed by Warwick Police Department officers in 1971 to serve the youth of Warwick, and is a non-profit organization that relies in part on community support.
