It tastes like a green apple Jolly Rancher,” said Cranston East senior Talya Martins about the Nutrition Station’s new “The Crusher” drink that has a tie to Cranston East. Martins was one of the five yearbook club and student council members who visited the Park Avenue store last Wednesday to take a sip of the store’s new menu item.
Yearbook advisor and Cranston East business teacher David Bizier reached out to Nutrition Station owner Kelly Rickett a month ago asking about the potential to create an official drink for Cranston East. Rickett had been in the process of experimenting with new drinks and agreed to Rickett’s proposal. The Crusher is made with lemon tea, cranberry aloe, pineapple beverage mix, blue raspberry beverage mix and green apple beverage mix. The company’s drinks are all natural, healthy and promote good health. Stop by 935 Park Ave., Unit 8 for yours today. The store is open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closed Sundays. (Herald photos)
