Aaron Coutu, former Assistant Library Director for the Cumberland Public Library assumed the post of Warwick Library Director on July 11. Coutu, who succeeds Jana Stevenson, said he received a friendly reception and looks forward to having the library further serve all members of the Warwick community. In the coming weeks he aims to meet with Warwick non profits serving and see how the library might further assist in addressing the needs of their constituencies. He said he enjoys working with teams. As for books, Coutu said in his prior job his desk was always stacked with books he was reading. That may not be so much of a problem here. Coutu was surprised by the size of his office and that it even has a coffee maker. Here he is greeted by the library’s security officer, Thomas Nye, who promised to give him a tour.
