Patricia J. (MacArthur) McCormick, 87, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at Brentwood Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Facility in Warwick on Thursday, June 13, following complications from pneumonia.

Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Donald and Jane (Dean) MacArthur. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas McCormick.

She leaves behind her cherished sons, Michael McCormick and his wife Michele Matzko, and Matthew McCormick and his wife Virginia Shea. Patricia was the adored “Nana” of Meghan, Lillian, Gabriel, Erica, and Ashlyn, and the proud great-grandmother of Lincoln.

Patricia, an accomplished graduate of Hope High School, enjoyed a distinguished career across various esteemed establishments, including Gladding’s Department Store, Jay Printing, Apex, Clifford Metal, and ultimately retired from Ross-Simons Jewelers. At Ross-Simons, she was celebrated for her unwavering dedication and professionalism.

In her retirement, Patricia was an active member of the St. Clements church community and treasured the friendships she cultivated there. All who knew her will deeply miss her kindness, wisdom, and warm smile.  

Her family fondly recalls her love for summer vacations at Lowell Lake, VT, her famous baked beans, and her thoughtful brand-name snacks, including her meticulously arranged pepperoni and cheese plates and Ruffles with onion dip. Patricia’s legacy of love, generosity, and dedication will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses at Brentwood and Continuum Hospice for their compassionate care and support during her final days.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Continuum Hospice and Palliative Care in her name are greatly appreciated.
