Mayor’s Award
Mayor Hopkins presents Brendan Smith, CHSW ‘24, the Falcon Baseball Mayor’s Award for Academic & Athletic Excellence, recognizing him for being both a dedicated athlete and an honor student. “Please join me in congratulating Brendan Smith, CHSW ‘24, who received this year’s Falcon Baseball Mayor’s Award for Academic & Athletic Excellence!” Hopkins wrote on his social media accounts. “I was honored to present this distinguished young man with this award for embodying what it means to be a diligent and curious student, a respectful athlete, and a role model within his community and among his peers. For four years, he has been a committed two-season athlete for the basketball and baseball teams at CHSW. He has balanced his athletic training with rigorous academic coursework, demonstrating exceptional time management and dedication. Beyond athletic achievements, he has received academic accolades as a member of both the National and Rhode Island Honor Societies. Brendan is looking forward to attending the University of Rhode Island in the fall. Congratulations, Brendan!”
