Junior Achievement of Rhode Island has announced that JA Inspire is back for 2021 and it’s virtual.

Since its launch in 2017, JA Inspire has reached more than 15,000 Rhode Island 8th graders. This year, JA has worked to pivot its capstone event to a virtual platform in response to the changing educational landscape during COVID-19. This new digital platform is designed to help inspire and prepare students in grades 8-12 for their futures: high school, college and careers beyond!

The JA Inspire program is a coalition of educators and industry leaders, led by Junior Achievement of Rhode Island, working to provide RI’s 8-12 grade students with meaningful experiences as they begin considering their careers - especially the high-wage/high demand careers here in Rhode Island.

JA Inspire Virtual will feature local businesses, non-profits, government agencies and educational organizations. As in previous years, this unique opportunity will engage students with an exciting new platform and give them an inside look to all types of careers that will pique their interests.

JA Inspire virtual is a unique opportunity to help give students a first-hand glimpse into the future. Not only will young people connect education and classroom learning to careers, but they

will see themselves as a part of Rhode Island ’ s workforce pipeline as they begin planning for their futures.

“The virtual career expo will be a fun learning opportunity for students and a natural fit for educators that incorporate workforce readiness in their curriculum,” said Lee Lewis, President of JA Rhode Island.  The virtual career fair will be held June 2-3.
