John T. Daponte, 73, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Kent Hospital. He was the loving husband of Jill (Nelson) Daponte.
Born in Providence, John was the son of the late George and Doris (Bass) Daponte. He worked as a Machine Repair Specialist for most of his life and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Warwick.
In addition to his wife Jill, he is survived by his beloved children, John T. Daponte, Jr. (Lea) and Gail D. Latino (Steven), his sister, Beverly Santurri, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late William Daponte, George Daponte, and Doris Ellis.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00AM-12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
