FROM STAFF REPORTS The Flood Ford Auto Connie Mack baseball team picked up its 10th and 11th wins in a row as it beat East Greenwich in two games to advance to this week’s state semifinals against Narragansett-South Kingstown.
Flood Ford took Game 1 of the series, 6-3, led by pitchers Nolan LaPerche and Keith Daigneau. LaPerche picked up the win while Daigneau earned the save. The two hurlers allowed just four hits overall.
Flood Ford went on to win Game 2 by a score of 5-3. Connor Kennedy got the win on the mound while striking out eight batters in six innings of work. Ben Picone picked up the save in relief.
Owen Leahy and Chris Manzo each had two hits and an RBI.
