Diane J. Placco, 76, died Saturday November 27, 2021. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Placco and the daughter of the late Nicola and Clara (Salzillo) Zarrella. Diane had been employed with Citizens Bank and Hudson Furs. She loved to travel and spend time with her beach family at the Galilee Beach Club, and her knitting and book club friends. She is survived by her two loving daughters Alisa D. Dumond and husband Keith and Amy N. Placco and her beloved grandson Aidan R. Dumond who brought great joy to her life. She also leaves her sister-in-law Katherine “Bunnie” Placco. She was also the loving aunt of Katherine and Christopher Placco and great aunt of Jamie Placco. A visitation will be held Wednesday December 1 from 9-10:30am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. Warwick, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11am in St. Kevin’s Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of American, 2348 Post Road #202, Warwick, RI 02886 in memory of Robert J. and Diane J. Placco will be appreciated.
