Richard J. Denoncour, Jr., 65, of Warwick, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024. He was the loving husband of Susan (Mann) Denoncour, to whom he shared 27 years of marriage.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard and Shirley (Sioncke) Denoncour, Sr. Richard worked as an Arborist with Davey Tree, and previously Lewis Tree, for many years and was a member of the William Shields Jr., American Legion Post 43.
At a young age, Richard had a strong bond with his father, they spent much of their time together by the water, quahogging and digging for clams. His joy to be by the water continued throughout his entire lifetime. Richard always enjoyed a good game dinner, and arranging Horseshoe Tournaments for his family and friends. In his downtime, he kept himself busy by doing things around the house and could put anything back together.
A man of serenity, Richard was always someone that could be counted on, he would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need, and honored his friendship with Bill W. His most cherished moments, however, were spent surrounded by his family and close friends. He was a proud Papa to his grandchildren and loved to take trips camping and visiting Cape Cod with his wife.
In addition to Susan, he is survived by his stepson, Joseph Kilduff and his wife Vera; sister, Carol Mann; best friend and brother-in-law, William Mann; cherished grandchildren, Austin, Gavin, Jude, and Bianca Kilduff; and his two dogs, Harley and Charlie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 4:00-7:00PM, followed by a Chapel Service at 7:00PM, in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick.
