Candy count a corny affair

Posted

Last week’s storms could not delay the spirit at Sarah Dyer Barnes on Tuesday. The school was all aglow in orange and black for Halloween and spirits were high. In addition to the color day on Tuesday, students were asked to make their best guess in a candy corn estimation contest, as they tried to determine just how many candy corn were contained in two jars housed in the school lobby. One winner was chosen from the primary grades and one from the intermediate grades. From the primary grades, first grader Liam Jenkins was the winner, and from the intermediate grades, Giada Cramer was the winner. Each student received a Halloween novelty item as their prize.
