Aldo J. Mignanelli, 83, of Johnston, passed away December 17, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Rose V. (Paterno) Mignanelli.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (DiGuisseppe) Mignanelli. Aldo was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and was the owner and operator of Aldo J. Mignanelli Construction Company for 50 years. He took pride in his craftsmanship, specializing in historic restorations on the East Side section of Providence and many other communities in Rhode Island.

He was a former member of the Italo American Club of Providence and the Alpine Country Club of Cranston.

He was the devoted father of Lori Mignanelli of Johnston, Jayne Bianca of Johnston and John A. Mignanelli and his wife, Maria, of Cranston; loving grandfather of Colby Ross, Lana Messina, Arianna Mignanelli and the late Paul Messina; loving great-grandfather of Gabriel Ross; and dear brother of Marino Mignanelli.

His funeral will be held Dec. 22 at 8:45 a.m. from Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 144 Danielson Pike, North Scituate, at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
