The Johnston Panther 9U football team continued the success it enjoyed of last year’s Super Bowl season by beginning the season undefeated. The Panthers are averaging 30 points per game and have only let up 6 points in there last three games. The first game was a 32-6 win over last years Super Bowl opponent, Cranston (CLCF). Game 2 was another decisive victory over Woonsocket 35-0. This week’s victory over New Bedford 27-0 improved their 2019 record to 3-0. Coach Jon Costa commends his team’s commitment in getting to another Super Bowl and capturing another victory. "The team is really exciting to watch and performs at a very high level for 8 and 9 year olds. Come out and see for yourselves, you won’t be disappointed." Johnston’s next game is Sunday at Johnston High School, starting at 9 a.m., with the rest of the league playing throughout the remainder of the day.
