The city fathers need to increase the salary of the mayor! Town managers in small towns in R.I. make 50% more than the Mayor. Many qualified candidates would run if they could afford to pay for the clam cakes and chowder they need to hand out once they are in office. Me? I have a day job the salary for which I enjoy.
