Bravo John Howell! Congratulations on a great career, a grand adventure and serving as a vital cog in the city of Warwick. I fondly recall bringing the “flats” from the Rhode Island Pendulum on Tuesday nights in the mid-1970s to the Beacon plant where the Pendulum was printed along with the Coventry Townsman. I’ll never forget hearing on my car radio one night that Elvis had left the building, for keeps, as I made the trip up Post Road from the Pendulum’s London Street office in East Greenwich to the Beacon’s Meadow Street facility. “Howell is also hopeful that the pendulum will swing back,” the story notes. Indeed!
