Johnston’s Kaylin Zalewski added her name to the Johnston athletic history books last week, as she notched her 1,000th career point in the Lady Panthers’ win over visiting Moses Brown.

After scoring 14 points in last Friday's win over Rogers, Zalewski needed 10 points to reach 1,000 going into Tuesday's game against Moses Brown.

She had a quiet first half with one 3-pointer, but  went on to score 14 points in the 2nd half, Scoring the 1,000th point of her career on a 3-pointer with 11:17 left in the game and Johnston leading Moses Brown, 27-17.

Many friends, family, teammates and coaches from past and present were on hand to see her become the 13th player in the history of the Johnston High School girls basketball program to reach the milestone. Her game-high 17 points, which included going 7-for-10 from the line, helped lead Johnston to a 46-33 win over Moses Brown, bringing her career total to 1,007.
