CRASH

At 5:51 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, Warwick Police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Bald Hill Road and West Natick Road.

Warwick Police officers arrived on scene and found two vehicles disabled with both operators still in the vehicles, according to a department press release.

The two operators were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries, police said.

The Warwick Police Department Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is investigating the crash.

Any person with information related to the accident is requested to contact the Warwick Police Department Traffic Division at 401-468-4343.

DRIVING ON SUSPENDED LICENSE

At 10:15 p.m., Nov. 26, Warwick police were dispatched to 114 Uphill Ave. for a reported motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, police spoke to Justin Morris, 27, of 22 Village Circle, Warwick, who had a registration plate that did not match his vehicle, according to the police incident report.

“Morris stated that the vehicle was not registered and he did not know where he got the plates from,” Warwick Police Officer Brittany L. Crabtree wrote in the report. “Upon running checks, it was determined that Morris had a suspended driver’s license.”

It was Morris’ third offense for driving on a suspended license, according to police.

Morris was removed from the vehicle, cuffed and transported to Warwick Police Headquarters. At the station, he was photographed, fingerprinted and processed. His vehicle was towed.

Morris was issued a summons for a misdemeanor charge of Driving on a Suspended License (Third Offense) and assigned a Third District Court date of Jan. 6. … Around 10:38 a.m., Nov. 16, Warwick Police Officer Nia L. Pina was on routine patrol in the area of Airport Road.

Pina conducted a traffic stop at 667 Airport Road after observing faded characters on a registration plate attached to a 2008 Chevrolet Sebring. Pina made contact with the driver, who was identified as Nicole L. Harvey, 42, of 913 Liberty Lane, West Kingston.

“Upon running checks, I learned that Harvey had a suspended driver’s license,” Pina wrote in the police incident report.

It was confirmed that this was Harvey’s third offense for Driving on a Suspended License. She was removed from the vehicle, searched and arrested.

Harvey was cuffed, seated in the rear of a cruiser, and transported to Warwick Police Headquarters. There she was photographed, fingerprinted and secured in a cell. Harvey was issued a summons for a misdemeanor charge of Driving on a Suspended License (Third Offense), and assigned a Dec. 7 Third District Court date.

BENCH WARRANT

Warwick Police investigated a report from the desk clerk at Extended Stay America, 268 Metro Center Boulevard, citing an earlier disturbance and suspicious activity in Room 207, according to a police incident report.

Police were told an occupant of this room was a woman named Dara R. Iantuono, 41, of 6 Lincoln Drive, Johnston.

Police discovered through a background check that Iantuono had two active bench warrants; one issued by the Fourth Division District Court for failure to appear at an arraignment on a charge of Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty, and the other issued by the Third Division District Court for failure to appear at a pretrial conference on a charge of Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License.

Hotel management told police that Iantuono was on scene at the hotel, according to the report, and was a registered guest staying in a room rented by Vincenzo Mazza, 40, of Pawtucket.

The front desk clerk told police that the guests in Room 207 had “been an issue all day.” The clerk also told police that Iantuono would be responding to the lobby to talk about her reservation, in the next few minutes.

Police requested an additional unit to respond to the hotel. Police made contact with Iantuono when she approached the front desk, and identified her through her RMV photograph. Iantuono was arrested on the two bench warrants, cuffed and transported to Warwick Police Headquarters.

“It should be noted that Dara had two small dogs with her,” Warwick Police Officer Derek J. Hagopian wrote the incident report. “Animal Control Officer Razza responded to the scene and took custody of the dogs, which were ultimately transported to Warwick Animal Shelter.”

Police searched the room but found nothing illegal.

The front desk clerk told police that she received a phone call earlier that day from Iantuono, informing the hotel that her sister, Alana Iantuono, was on her way to the hotel and intended on obtaining a room key.

“Dara further stated that her and Alana are identical twins,” Hagopian wrote. “Dara stated that Alana was going to ‘pose’ as Dara in an attempt to obtain a room key.”

Iantuono informed the clerk that she has a heart tattoo on her right arm, but her twin sister, Alana, does not.

According to the clerk, the sister did show up at the hotel and attempted to identify herself as her twin sister. The clerk asked to see the twin’s tattoo, but she denied the request and began giving the clerk a “hard time.”

“Ultimately, Alana was asked to leave the hotel,” Hagopian wrote. “She complied without incident.”

The desk clerk told police, that on behalf of the hotel, she wished to have the sisters and Mazza issued No Trespass orders from the premises.

Dara Iantuono was fingerprinted, photographed and secured in a cell. Police made notes to inform Mazza and Alana Iantuono of the No Trespass Order from Extended Stay. Dara Iantuono was transported to the ACI and turned over to the custody of corrections staff.
