Veteran Home Loan employees named senior VPs

Home Loan Investment Bank has promoted two long time employees to senior vice president positions.

“We are so pleased to continue to grow and importantly, diversify our leadership team to ensure long term stability and maintain customer service excellence,” said Brian Murphy, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Home Loan Investment Bank. “Our diverse team of leaders helps us establish and build trust among our customers by offering a wealth of knowledge and varying perspectives, ultimately improving the way we relate to team members and customers.”

Connie Viera has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, Residential Lending where she will be responsible for daily oversight of the operations of the Bank’s Residential lending department. She is responsible for the processing, lending disclosures, underwriting, and funding of Residential mortgages, which includes managing the loan pipeline and working with the Sales staff to meet monthly closing goals.

Viera began her career with Home Loan with 30 years of mortgage lending experience. Prior to her arrival more than eight years ago, Connie served as a vice president at Stearns Lending, fulfilling loans in the wholesale channel throughout the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions. Connie oversaw the Rhode Island branch operation which was responsible for the Disclosing, Underwriting, Closing and Post Closing residential loans. Connie has her Direct Endorsed underwriting designation with FHA and holds national and multiple state MLO licenses via NMLS.

Connie was born and raised in Rhode Island, attended St. Mary’s Academy, Bay View and the University of Rhode Island and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics. Connie resides in North Kingstown with her husband Gary and has two daughters.

Sengkeo Bouchard has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Controller, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the preparation and review of the Bank’s financial and regulatory reports. Bouchard will guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for managing, directing, and supervising the daily activities of the Accounting Department.

Prior to joining Home Loan, Bouchard worked at Textron Inc. in the Treasury Department. She began her career at Home Loan in 2004 as a Financial Analyst in the Accounting Department. In 2011, Bouchard was promoted to Senior Financial Analyst and Assistant Controller. In February 2012, Bouchard was promoted to the Controller position. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and holds an MBA degree from Bentley University. She is an active member of the community and worked with the 115th MP Company as well as the RI Family Engagement Advisory Council.
