To the Editor:
Democrat state Rep. Vella-Wilkinson declares that she is “unapologetically pro-life”.(“Solomon, Vella Wilkinson face opponents in 2022”, Feb. 12) That is a good thing.
Yet she belongs to a political party whose platform is unapologetically pro-death. For example, her fellow Democrats in the General Assembly relentlessly sponsor legislation designed to encourage pregnant women to abort their unborn babies.(“End Rhode Island’s abortion bans”, Jan. 20) That is a bad thing.
The Democrat death cult doesn’t just go after the unborn. They target the old and infirm as well. Vella-Wilkinson’s colleague in the Assemby, state Rep. Edith Ajello, leads members of the death cult in promoting both abortion and assisted suicide. With lethal legislation from this bunch, someone eventually ends up dead.
Vella-Wilkinson’s response to the death obsessed members of her Democratic Party is to dodge the issue. That is why she is sponsoring “a birth control accessibility bill” as a way of “protecting life.”
But contraception doesn’t protect life. When it works, contraception prevents life.
As someone proclaiming to be unapologetically pro-life, Rep. Vella-Wilkinson should denounce the pro-death policies of the Democratic Party. I hope she finds the courage to do so.
A.H. Liddle, Warwick
