To the Editor:
With the conclusion of the impeachment trail in the Senate, it now becomes urgent for Congress to address some of the important issues our country has been facing. Among these are the national deficit, military involvements worldwide, healthcare, illegal immigration, educational reforms, social security, infrastructure improvements, low-income housing, and life safety in public facilities.
There is a need for compromise and cooperation across the aisle to show the American people that our legislators can work together and move ahead with an active agenda. With civility we can then attempt to enrich our standard of living, a goal that our founding fathers had envision many years ago.
