Although his suit provided for lots of questions, Byron Delmonico had all the answers for a delegation from the Small Business Administration and the State House when they recently visited The Riddle Room on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. Delmonico, the creator of the Riddle Room in Warwick and East Greenwich, is this year’s Rhode Island Small Business Person of the Year. The company employs 18 and Delmonico said the Warwick location had 2,000 visitors in April. The Riddle Room is an escape room entertainment venue. Each escape room is an interactive, movie-quality set that Byron handmade himself, with a multitude of puzzles that need to be solved to escape. The Riddle Room is both for entertainment and team building. Byron was named the 2022 Rhode Island Small Business Person of the Year based on staying power, job creation, response to adversity and contributions to the community. The Rocky Point room was a major attraction for the recent visitors including from left SBA New England Regional Administrator Mike Vlacich, House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi, Byron Delmonico, Rep. Tom Noret and SBA Rhode Island District Director Mark S. Hayward. (Warwick Beacon photo)
