Taking the top three honors

Graphic arts students in the class of Jann Rogers-Gartner at the Warwick Area Career and Technical Center came away with the top three prizes in the “Warning signs of dating abuse” poster contest sponsored by the Lindsay Ann Burke Memorial Foundation. In memory of Lindsay Ann Burke – she was murdered by her boyfriend - and the challenge of artistically bringing awareness to abusive relationships, Rogers-Gartner has made the annual contest a part of the curriculum. Her students are often winners. Rogers-Gartner is seen here from left with Allison Quinn, who placed third and received $250; Demitri Diaz, second and $500 and Dylan Salois, first with $1,000.
