The West Bay Chorale held their Promise of Spring concert at St. Kevin Church Sunday afternoon, which also served as a fundraiser for victims of the war in Ukraine. In a program note, artistic director Eric W. Van Dervort , pictured here directing the chorale, wrote that the group was back on the risers after a 17 month interruption caused by the pandemic. He said the war in Ukraine totally changed the group’s focus . “The music took on new meaning. It reflects love, loss, journey and most assuredly, hope.” The concert concluded with “Prayer for Ukraine, Let There Be Peace on Earth and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” (Warwick Beacon photos)
