When Vets High School students moved to Pilgrim with the consolation of secondary schools they brought lots of chalk with them. Chalk Day, for lack of a better name, was a senior class tradition where kids applied their imaginations and artistic ability to transforming sidewalk blocks to artistic panels that were judged for bragging rights by faculty and fellow students. The day culminates with time to socialize over soda pizza and burgers. Art teacher Cara Boudreau, an enthusiast supporter of the event, coordinated the outdoor exhibit held Friday in front of the school. Movies were the theme this year and the 180 participating students worked on producing 48 panels. When the works were completed, students and faculty used an app on their phones to vote for their favorites. (Warwick Beacon photos)
