The University of Rhode Island women’s hockey team took home a 5-4 overtime win over Providence College at the Boss Arena last week during the team’s home opener. Cranston native Abbi Sampson led the way for the Rams, scoring a hat trick. Carissa Rego also added a pair of goals including the game-winner. The Rams will next be facing Liberty at home on Thursday.
