No, they’re not planning a lounge for middle school students at Veterans Memorial even though the cafeteria will have high table chairs in addition to new regular chairs. “We will have plenty of chairs and tables,” promised Assistant Superintendent William McCaffrey. The serving area at the cafeteria has also undergone revisions. Delays in completing renovations to the cafeteria among other items has delayed the opening of Vets to Sept. 8. McCaffrey said all six schools that postponed opening this week because of uncompleted renovations will be set to open. “Everything is a green light for Sept. 8,” he said. (Warwick Beacon photos)
